3 Years of Brecken
Dear Brecken,
Congrats, kid! You're a big 3 year-old now, even though over the last month you've been pretty adamant that you're 5 y/o..."I'm 5!" you proclaim in laughter. Your Mommy chose the theme 'Dirty 3rd-y' for your big day, which included construction trucks all over the place, ice cream bowls that were construction hats,
and ice cream that was eaten with spoons that were hovels. She went All-in! Party attendees included Yi-Yah, Bubba, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Mike, Aunt D, and most of the Abeijon squad including your bestie Blake. What a Great Day!

| Brecken's 3rd Birthday |
So what has your Summer 2026 been up to? I bet we've watched 'How to Train Your Dragon' and 'Madagascar' about 500 times each, sometimes twice a day. Your birthday theme was the culmination of your love for all construction activites...including 'Excamators', dump trucks, cement trucks, and tractors. Honeslty, you're pretty excited about any construction work we drive near. Last spring, several families in the Muirwood Community started getting sad about losing the trees behind our houses. Slowly, we've watched an armada of trucks and equipment remove the trees and flatten the land. Well, everyone in the Muirwood Blvd homes except you, that is. You see, every morning around 7am, you get an entrance parade of yellow trucks, and then the party concludes around 6pm every evening where they all drive by again. You've become so familiar to the workers that some of them even wave to you or honk as you show them a smaller version of their equipment.
Brecken's army of construction trucks have been playing all summer in your Mom's garden or in your sandbox. And speaking of her garden, every evening when it's time to come in for dinner, you take great toddler pride in picking some tomatoes and bringing them to Mommy in the kitchen. Sometimes they're red, sometimes they're green...it's a big guessing game, but Mommy appreicates her little helper.

Besides being a construction kid, you really adore Big Bro and Big Sis. Leah and Logan engage with you in their own way, but you find unique fun with invading their rooms and cheering them on at Volleyball and Soccer. During Leah's volleyball games, you're pretty excited about taking over the upper bleachers in the high school gym...sprinting seat to seat or throwing your cars 20 ft down an aisle. Pure chaos. :)
Your YouTube faves are Blippi and Ms. Rachel, and your
most common dinner is scrambled eggs or pancakes. You're a big fan of I-HOP and flavored syrup. I am thrilled to report that you and I have a couple of traditions: 1. Eat an apple with Daddy...where I basically eat the skin and you eat the apple...and then 2. 'Ice Cream with Daddy'...where your faves are strawberry and 'Vavilla/Banilla'. Following in Logan's footsteps, you have mostly rejected chocolate, but I test that stance as frequently as possible. **shrug**

| Roadtrip to Gigi's, July 2026 |
Our big Road Trip this summer was a trip to Michigan to see Gigi and a bunch of your 2nd cousins...while we were there, you got to paddle a giant goose boat at Hawk Island Park. We also took Gigi to the zoo!
You're my favorite hiking buddy and comedian!
Happy Birthday...
Love,
Dad
PS. Regardless of when you read this, give your mom a shout-out...your 3rd birthday means she's rocked you to sleep 99% of nights for 3 trips around the sun. You can also ask her about her special 'milk' jewelry.
